I misspoke after first being introduced to the work of talented Bath Beach photographer David Tan. I mistakenly thought that David only used film cameras.
While David shoots “almost exclusively in film now,” he does maintain “quite a stock of digital work” on his site.
When I look at a breathtaking digital shot like the one above, which shows the same cool muted colors he’s known for on film, I’m certain that it’s more a testament to David’s talents as a shutterbug than to the type of equipment he uses.
The image featured above was shot on August 6, 2010 with a Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XS.
For more of David’s excellent photos, as well as a chance to search by both the camera and lens type he used on each pic, please visit his blog at dtan.blogspot.com.
If you have photos you’d like us to publish as part of the Seen In Bay Ridge photo series, please send them to info@bayridgeodyssey.com. Be sure to let us know where the picture was taken and when, and how to credit the photo (i.e. by your real name, pen name, anonymously, etc.).
