If you’re tired of fighting the Saturday crowds at the Bay Ridge Greenmarket, Lutheran Medical Center will be hosting a farmers market tomorrow in nearby Sunset Park.

With its location on 55th Street between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue, the market will be open for business every Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., until November 15.

The weekly event is put together by Harvest Home, which operates “farmers markets in high-need, low income communities” throughout the city. So even if you’re not in need, you’re still helping to support a good cause by shopping there.

For more information, as well as a list of products for sale, please visit their website.

A variety of farms will be at the Greenmarket this season: Continue reading »
