Contract For Upper Level Replacement On Verrazano Bridge Awarded

TRAFFIC & TRANSIT: This past weekend, the MTA announced that contractor Tutor Perini has been awarded the $235.7 million contract to replace the original Sixties-era roadway on the upper level of the Verrazano Bridge. The project will include a reversible high occupancy vehicle lane, which will provide a continuous HOV lane from the Staten Island Expressway to the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel.
