After problems with the state’s election system surfaced during a contested Democratic Primary uptown involving incumbent Charlie Rangel and his recently-vanquished challenger State Senator Adriano Espaillat, State Senator Marty Golden claims to have the solution, reports the ever-informative Colin Campbell on website Politicker.com.
Golden’s office had put out a statement last Thursday saying that “in light of the events associated with the recent 13th Congressional District’s Primary Election,” he is “calling on the State of New York to adopt a number of reforms to ensure machine count accuracy when elections polls close at the end of primary and general elections.” Continue reading »
