Uno Chicago Grill To Hold Children’s Balloon Drop On New Years

Pizzeria Uno New YearsNew Years Eve normally presents the parents of small children with a limited number of choices for dining out, much less celebrating the approach of midnight with their smallest kin.

Fortunately for the young families of Bay Ridge and beyond, Uno Chicago Grill [9201 4th Avenue] will be holding its own shindig this December 31, albeit at a family-friendly hour.

This free event, which includes a balloon drop and ginger ale toast for the kiddies, happens at 7 p.m. – So while folks in Lisbon are kissing and wishing each other a “feliz ano novo,” you can ring in 2013 with the little ones!

Next Friday: Comedy Night At UNO Chicago Grill

Next Friday, October 19, the UNO Chicago Grill (9201 4th Avenue) will host a comedy night with seven stand-up comics starting at 11pm.

The seven comics have a wide range of experience – most have performed throughout the area, some have made TV appearances, and one will be making his live event debut. I’m looking forward to Alice Wooster, the producer of the Bushwick-based We Are Not Hipsters comedy show, though this probably only works if she hasn’t read what I said about the unfortunate Hipster-bar branding of the upcoming Lockyard beer garden.

This is UNO’s second comedy night, following a popular first-night-out back in August.

Cover charge is $7, which goes to the comedians, and there is a two-drink minimum (must be 21 to enter). The show runs from 11pm to 1:30am. See below for the full line-up…
